Summer is winding down, and I don't feel like I've wasted it for once. One of the reasons is a perfect trip to Crane's Beach with [info]goodgriefonamac and friends a few weekends ago. My idea, but it all went off without a hitch (aside from thinking Rockport was somehow north of Ipswich; oops!). Scotty took some great pictures of the day, one of which is my new icon. I'm doing yoga, not receiving oral pleasure, you freaks. It's almost as good! Hit him up if you want to see them.

The light was just awesome that day; all the colors were super-saturated, the sky was blue, nothing glaring, but everything bright and thousands of footwatts of candlepower or however you count that sort of thing. All helped by the fact that I finally had gotten my prescription fixed to glasses I could see out of again I'm sure.

Scott's friend Susan is landlocked (from Buffalo) and was just ecstatic over being near the water. Made me realize how much I love the beach, too. I always thought I was a rivers and mountain person, but I guess not. Though this week's trip to Saratoga did remind me how much I love the Hudson Valley, too. Oh, hell, all natural wonders are good!

It was more than perfect. I put the pants I wore that day unwashed into a plastic drawer so that they will keep their salty ocean goodness. Scott says I have to stop, but once in a while I lick them. Not every ten minutes, but sometimes. It reminds me of that day. The ocean. Gosh.

That was one of the best days ever. Thanks.
